Local Plan Promotion: Draft Allocation
The site is being promoted through Rother DC’s emerging Local Plan consultations. Rurban contracted the opportunity despite the site having previously been discounted by a 2024 Housing Economic Land Availability Assessments (HELAA). Since Rurban’s proactive engagement and promotion, the site has secured a Draft Allocation in the Regulation 18 Draft Local Plan; we continue to engage proactively with the District Council and relevant stakeholders as the Draft Local Plan progresses.
Emerging proposals provide for a sensitive landscape-led development which will work to conserve and enhance the High Weald National Landscape setting and improve the general accessibility of the site to include recreational open spaces and a net-gain in biodiversity.
