Rurban Estates works in partnership with landowners, developers and public and private sector stakeholders across the built environment to unlock planning and create value at the earliest stages of the development process, supporting both the planning and delivery of new development. We apply our expertise, resources and trusted relationships to increase the supply of land with residential and mixed-use consent, helping to deliver more high-quality homes and sustainable communities.
While we act for our clients and landowners partners, we are equally committed to the places in which we work, recognising that increasing housing delivery is essential to supporting long-term social and economic progress.
Who We Are
Rurban Estates is a privately owned land promotion and development advisory business, founded with the objective of providing clear, commercially focused advice to landowners and development partners.
The business is built on extensive experience gained from within listed PLC housebuilder organisations, SME housebuilders, and Local Authority exposure. This breadth of experience provides a comprehensive understanding of the full development lifecycle – from land acquisition and strategic planning, through technical design and commercial appraisal, to delivery and sales.
Having worked at every stage of the end-to-end development process, Rurban Estates’ team understands how planning strategy, viability, and deliverability align in practice. This enables land to be promoted – and advice to be structured – in a way that is policy-led, commercially realistic, and attractive to delivery partners.
Independently owned and managed, Rurban Estates takes a long-term, hands-on approach, working collaboratively with landowners, local authorities, and high performing consultant teams to unlock value responsibly and deliver sustainable development that responds to local context and market conditions.
