Draft Allocation Secured, Lewes District Council

Rurban Estates is pleased to have secured a draft allocation within Lewes District Council’s Draft Local Plan. Having actively promoted the site through earlier Regulation 18 and Call for Sites consultations, it now forms an integral part of a wider allocation delivering a minimum of 435 new homes.

The allocation also includes complementary infrastructure such as new community and sports facilities, public open spaces, and active travel enhancements.

Phase 2 of Lewes District Council’s Regulation 18 consultation, focusing on the spatial strategy for development, runs from 18 December 2025 to 28 February 2026. The emerging plan will guide sustainable growth, meet housing and employment needs, and replace the existing Local Plan, which expires in 2030. Rurban Estates will be submitting representations in support of sustainable development across the district.
